Before I felt ready.

A quiet launch, broken links, and your turn to tell me what you see.

Have you ever gotten so in the weeds figuring out how to do something that you couldn't pull yourself out of it?

That's where I've been spending my time lately with my new website.

It started in the spring of this year when I made the decision to launch my July Honest Hours cohort. Once I'd built out the program, I knew that my website didn't reflect the coach I have become.

A few months ago, I wrote about starting to start, featuring my deep blue den that I'd decided to repaint before I felt ready. I had my mom with me on that project, assuring me we could do it. Also, painting a room has a clear beginning and a clear end.

This was similar in that I wasn't ready, but on a much bigger scale. It didn't have to happen, there was no actual deadline, only my desire to create something.

I knew what I wanted to put out into the world, and I made a conscious choice to begin, even though the perfectionist in me had a list a mile long of what needed to be "right" first.

If I've learned anything, it's that waiting for perfect is a great way to not start.

Still, not waiting was very uncomfortable. I pushed myself forward and the website got built in parallel to the launch of Honest Hours and work on it continued throughout the six-week cohort.

For weeks I had three things going at once, facilitating the cohort, building the website, and keeping up with my personal challenge to write a blog post a week all year. I was desperate for a moment to breathe while also not willing to stop until it was all done.

This weekend, I finally got it. For the first time in a long while, I had that room. The website quietly launched last week. My friends and family have been kind enough to send me all the hiccups and broken links they've spotted.

Now it's your turn. Take a look and tell me what's missing, broken, etc. I also welcome you to share what you like and what else you might like to see.

What I am most proud of is that I set out to do something that made me uncomfortable and I did it, cohort and all. In that same moment of celebration, I can already feel myself refusing to settle, itching toward the next thing. That's just how I'm wired.

This aligns with how I love to coach: doing the work alongside the women I am supporting. I'm not speaking to you from the far side of anything. I walk the talk, just a little further down the road than where you might be standing.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be introducing you to my journey to becoming the coach that I am, through these weekly messages. I have learned how relatable my journey is to many of the women I support, caught in that gap between where they are and where they are headed. I have built my website and the Honest Hours cohort to reflect that and uplift others.

And because I must also promote myself, even when it is uncomfortable, my next Honest Hours cohort launches Sunday, November 1 at 7:30pm ET.

If you'd like to learn more about the room I have designed and see if it is a space you'd like to be in, you can check out the details here.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy reading about my personal journey over the next month.
