Writer's block.

Blank page, open portal, waiting patiently for the words find me. Thirty-two weeks. Thirty-two consecutive Monday mornings of showing up to this page, and I have arrived at this week with nothing to say. I knew it yesterday. Sunday is my writing time, my slow morning ritual, and when I sat down, nothing came. I figured inspiration would find me later in the day. It didn't. I went to bed hoping it would be there when I woke up, at some level though, I knew nothing would come. I woke this morning out of responsibility to a commitment I made myself, no alarm, just the promise I made to myself 32 weeks ago. Two hours later I was still sitting with a blank page. Here is the irony. It's the Lion's Gate portal, for those who get behind astrology, this is a massive time for manifesting, it began this year around July 26th and goes through August 12th, with the peak hitting each year on August 8th. All week, friends from different corners of my life have been texting me about it, because I'm the woo one. The one who talks about manifestation and moon cycles and portals. And here I am, with an empty space where the words usually live and having it happen right in the middle of this window. Interesting. I'm going to let the space stay empty, pay attention to what's happening around me and what I'm feeling in my body, and trust that what wants to come forward will, when it's time. Can you sit in the unknown and be okay with it?
