Take two.

4000 years of a Patterns, synchronicities, sitting in the awe of it all. I wrote two newsletters this week, the one that didn't feel right, and this one. I don't know, maybe there is something to my message from last week. Maybe the writer's block hasn't lifted. The one I wrote prior to this just felt forced. I am writing this from my porch, Sunday evening, surrounded by an enormous storm, so much rain and thunder. Three times the sky has cracked just as the lightning struck so loudly that I jumped out of my seat. I've just finished the second to last session of my inagural Honest Hours cohort. I can't believe how fast it has gone by. I can't believe the gifts I have received in creating this group. I am thinking about what it will lead to and the possibilities that exist out there. I am also thinking about what an intense week this was and how much of that can be attributed to being in the midst of the eclipse season. I am not going to force anything. I am going to sit in this space between what I am shedding and what I have yet to become. Honestly, I felt I was over most of the shedding and becoming… I am 52 for God's sake, does it ever stop!!?! - No. I have a trip to Greece with my coaching colleagues in mid-October which has me really digging into Greek mythology and has led to me daydreaming about how humans envisioned the wonders of the world in those times. I imagine someone looking into the sky at night and seeing a comet, or even better experiencing a storm like tonight, what did they think that lightning was? Oh yeah, Zeus! Obviously. Our brains not only love to, but must make sense out of things, we are driven to identify patterns. Tracking the movement of the sky for roughly 4,000 years will indeed reveal patterns. New moons and eclipses were seen as omens. In Mesopotamia, early sky-watching focused on mundane omens for kings and nations, such as predicting weather, famines, or war. Did you know that today there is an entire branch of astrology referred to as Mundane Astrology? If you really want to go down an astrological wormhole, look up Andre Barbault. Back to eclipse season. This celestial cycle happens twice a year and flows through a pattern that repeats every 18.5 years. So yes, as I sit here reflecting on the synchronicities I have experienced this week, the immense gratitude I have for this cohort I created, and what these women who have trusted me for guidance, structure, and support have gifted me back tenfold, it all feels aligned. I also cannot ignore the timing of the sessions, starting just as Barbault's Basket was reaching it's peak, continuing through Lion's Gate, the Solar Eclipse and our last meeting being just after the Lunar Eclipse on the 28th. That is a lot of synchronicities considering I thought me choosing my start date in July was 'what fit my calendar.' I am a bit lost in awe of the divine timing of it all and am going to take the next week to process all of this. Does the eclipse season impact you, or are you even aware of its existence?
